Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics Grant Application
The Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS), in cooperation with the Office of Medical Assistance Programs (OMAP) and the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP), has developed an application in response to the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC) planning grant opportunity offered by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). This planning grant would support the development of new service delivery and payments structures to better serve adults with serious mental illness, children with emotional disturbance, and those with long-term and serious substance use disorders, as well as others with mental illness and substance use disorders.
This is a significant opportunity for change within the behavioral health system. Payment system innovation is an important component of the CCBHC approach. The grant will allow us to develop prospective payment strategies within our HealthChoices framework to fund CCBHC services.
